Sponsors
We have made a point of seeking collaborations
with both government and industry, for we recognize the importance of the
interdependence among us. Especially important has been the educational
value passed along by the supporting agency.
Goverment representatives have visited
our campus to speak directly with the students they support, a most worthy
endeavor, for students become aware of the large value of their research.
Industrial sponsors likewise
pass along much to the undergraduate, graduate and postdoctoral associates
who make up our research group. Their visits to Gainesville, as well as
our visits to the sponsoring company's laboratories are part of our regular
pattern.
Universities - both in the USA
as well as abroad- have helped us immensely over the years. We have sent
students to these labs for short stays (several days) or extended periods
(as many as 18 months) to become familiar with techniques and specific
areas of chemistry.
We appreciate all that these
people have done and continue doing for the Wagener group. Supporting institutions
